One of the oldest and most established campsites in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mali Wimbledon sits at the entrance to the small Herzegovinian town of Blagaj, just 10 kilometres south of Mostar. Run by a welcoming family who treat every guest like part of the household, this 7,000 m² family camp has been hosting travellers for decades and remains one of the most reliable bases for exploring the cultural heart of Herzegovina.
The grassy grounds, which give the camp its tennis-themed name, offer 50 pitches with electricity and water, alongside a handful of cabins with private bathrooms, kitchenettes, TV, and WiFi. Guests can cool off in the on-site swimming pool, play a set of tennis or a game of football on the camp’s own pitch, and pick up fresh bread and supplies at the large supermarket right next to the entrance. A small bar serves coffee, ice cream, and drinks, and a shared kitchen with washing machines covers all the practical essentials. Pets are welcome year-round on a lead.
Mali Wimbledon’s location makes it an unbeatable base for sightseeing: the Buna River spring and its dervish monastery are just 500 metres away, Mostar’s Old Bridge and bazaar are a short drive north, and the Kravice Waterfalls, Počitelj’s Ottoman old town, and the Stolac archaeological sites are all within easy reach. Open from April through November, this is a true Herzegovina classic.
