Set directly on the emerald shores of Pliva Lake, just 5 kilometres from the historic town of Jajce, Camping Plivsko Jezero has been a fixture of Bosnian camping since it reopened in 2006 and remains one of the largest and most established sites in the country. Spread across a generous, gently sloping grassy area shaded by mature trees, the camp sits right beside the small road connecting Jajce and Bihać, with the lake itself only steps away from the pitches.
The site offers 50 pitches for visiting campers, all with electricity and water, plus a full motorhome service station for waste and fresh water. Sixteen bungalows are available year-round for those who prefer a roof over their head, complete with their own facilities. On site, guests will find a restaurant and coffee bar, a small shop selling fresh bread and essentials, laundry facilities, a shared cooking area, and barrier-free sanitary blocks with wheelchair access. A tennis court, volleyball court, mini-golf, and a simple playground round out the recreational offering.
Pliva Lake itself is the main draw – guests can swim, fish, paddle a canoe, or simply enjoy the view, while the surrounding area offers hiking and cycling routes through some of central Bosnia’s most scenic countryside. Jajce’s fortress, old town, and the famous Pliva waterfall are all a short trip away, making this an excellent base for exploring one of the region’s most historically rich towns. The camp is open from mid-April to mid-October, with bungalow accommodation available throughout the year.
